TESL Certification

The TESL certification is often confused with the TEFL certification. The TESL certification allows you to Teach English as a Second language while TEFL certification allows you to Teach English as a Second Language. The International College of Applied Linguistics offers both the TEFL and the TESL certification programs throughout Ontario, Canada. Although TESL certification programs are mostly offered in bilingual countries where English is an official language, most of our graduates plan on teaching overseas.

Our TESL Certification course

Both our TEFL and our TESL certification programs include aspects such as culture and travel in the syllabi. TESL certification programs focus on learners for whom English is an official language in their respective countries. The International College of Applied Linguistics is committed to providing highly educated and experienced instructors. A carefully selected curriculum helps you master the methods and techniques needed to begin your experience teaching ESL. You will have firsthand experience teaching ESL within the practicum included in our TESL certification program.

(1) TESL certification will allow you to Teach English as a Second Language.

(2) To enroll in a TESL certification program, you must already have a good command of the English language.

(3) A TESL certification program will train you to specifically work in countries where English is an official language.

(4) TESL certification is not a proficiency certificate.
